Snowflake?

The term "snowflake generation" was designated word of the year in 2016. The Collins English dictionary defines the term as "the young adults of the 2010s, viewed as being less resilient and more prone to taking offense than previous generations."

Last summer two members of my church got married. Big, fancy weddings were canceled, and vows were exchanged in back yards in front of a handful of guests. One wedding took place, in part, because the bride and groom are both nurses, and they no longer wanted to live with parents and continue to expose them to increased risk.

High school and college seniors missed graduation parties and celebratory trips. For the most part, they are fine. (Moms on the other hand...)

Kids move back home, finished up school work online, and made do like everybody else. A host of young health care providers went to work every day. Young adults volunteered in our communities.

Less resilient? Maybe not.
