I am a sucker for time management blogs and books. Travis Bradberry has a recent post that I enjoyed.
Number 7 particularly caught my eye--they only check email at designated times.
I check email all day. A good day is when I can keep the inbox under five at all times. I know I am wasting time that could be better spent in other endeavors, but the empty mailbox is so measurable. It makes me feel like I am accomplishing something. Plus, I can rest in the satisfaction of knowing I am not one of those slackers who never returns email.
So I am not going to lie. I will continue to check email all day. In fact I may sneak a peak right now.
